Job Summary

• The position requires the driver to provide support to the used vehicle sales team/ inventory team, as such, he will receive instructions from the inventory manager on a daily basis in relation to the department’s needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Assisting with vehicle transfers at licensing office on behalf of both Carmax and Ansa Merchant bank, by checking with sales reps to ensure that all transfer packages received have all documents, stamps, authorization letters and signatures necessary to complete the said transfers on the appointed date and time given
• Ensuring all vehicles check sheets are properly written up by ensuring all/any defects identified on units are noted, correct mileage, fuel levels, date and time are noted and signatures of the driver and person receiving the unit are captured on the form, when units are being transferred between Carmax locations
• Ensuring batteries of all Carmax units are routinely charged (at least once per week), fuel levels of all units are optimally maintained (at least ¾ to ½ at all times)
• Assist with the physical inspection of all units being appraised for trade to Carmax, as well as the noting of any/all damages observed on these, as well as units being handed over from internal departments being added to Carmax inventory, as well as traded units having been transferred into Ansa motors name, by Ansa motors internal Transport Department
• Also ensuring the necessary check out sheets /contractor forms are utilized and properly written up when delivering and collecting units from approved contractors, before and after repairs, with the necessary signatures by persons delivering and collecting units
• When checking in vehicles at service department, ensure vehicle check sheets filled out by service employee correctly show any defects in the exterior of the vehicle and provide the proper description of what is being asked from service department, as instructed by the Inventory Manager
• Assist with having units prepared for delivery after transfers and movement between locations as necessary
• Signing keys in and out of the key register when moving vehicles
• When driving units between locations, ensure all laws and regulations are observed and drive with care to minimize wear and tear on the vehicles. Report any issues identified with any vehicle on a timely basis.

Job Requirements

• Minimum five (5) CXC passes inclusive of Mathematics and English
• Valid Driver’s License Class 4
• Minimum two (2) experience in a similar field
• Defensive Driving Certificate will be considered an asset.
