
Position Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Compliance Officer to join our team at Berger Paints Jamaica Limited. The Compliance Officer will be instrumental in implementing procedures and strategies to safeguard company assets, minimize and eliminate any negative impact to the business due to non-compliance with established procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audits of high-risk areas
- Analyze routine financial and operational reports to identifyopportunities for improvement.
- Investigate, validate and resolve reported compliance cases
- Develop and implement initiatives to detect risks and non-compliance, ensuring preventive measures are in place to avoid repeat occurrences.
- Create and deliver compliance training programs across core business work streams, financial and no financial.
- Conduct periodic inspections of all company sites to ensure compliance is robust.
- Regularly review and update established compliance measures to maintain their effectiveness.
- Draft policies and memos to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with policy standards; ISO etc.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports in accordance with departmental deadlines.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of all procedures and policies for all departments.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, projects, operations, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in either loss prevention, auditing, or compliance.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong supervisory and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
