Job Summary:

  • The Customer Sales Representative is responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs to conduct sales transactions with possible customers. In addition to effectively communicating with team members. 

Job Description:

  • Respond to the needs of customers in an alert, pleasant and courteous manner, providing accurate information about goods and services.
  • Greet customers, using scripted greeting and ascertain what each customer wants and/or needs, and assist accordingly;
  • Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging customers and all other aspects of customer service;
  • Attend to telephone queries in a polite and professional manner.
  • To follow dress code policy and ensure that you are neatly dressed in approved clothing with name tag at all times;
  • Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements, and ensure that it is applied correctly to all invoices/transactions;
  • To notify your showroom management of any reasons which would affect the showroom’s roster in advance to ensure that showroom can be staffed adequately;
  • Recommend, select, and help locate merchandise based on customer needs and wants.
  • Actively build the sale by suggesting complimentary item(s) available for sale.
  • Ensure that all customer complaints, requests for service or queries are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
  • Follow-up on all accounts to confirm items delivered in good condition and on customer satisfaction.
  • Work with customers to build best possible Hire Purchase contracts and payment terms, and to guide customers accordingly to ensure that the likelihood of approval is maximised.
  • Actively increase product knowledge and awareness to provide reliable information to customers on product selection.
  • Assist with stock counts, and that stock sheets are completed timely and accurately for assigned areas.
  • Maintain a clean, attractive, and orderly display of products in assigned areas.
  • Assume the responsibilities of relief Cashier as required and execute all related functions.
  • Full adherence to the Company’s discount policy in granting discount to customers and applying discount on the system.
  • Perform all duties in conformance with appropriate health, safety, security and environmental and SDL’s policies and procedures.
  • Comply with specific processes and policies as set out and stated in ANSA McAL Blue Book, specific to your role as communicated by SDL Head Office and to ensure that you stay abreast with any new policies and/or changes to existing processes and policies.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar capacity
  • Minimum of 5 CSEC Passes, inclusive of English A and Mathematics
  • Equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong selling skills
  • Ability to analyse and execute in a fast paced and time sensitive environment
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Defines ambitious and realistic, personal goals and standards.
  • Evaluates personal progress against standards to identify ways to improve.
  • Undertakes challenging work to ensure the delivery of optimal results.
  • Adjusts actions to meet and exceed expectations.
