Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer will ensure the company operates in a safe, efficient, cost-effective, and well-maintained manner while meeting internal and external customer requirements for on-time delivery and quality.

Job Description:

• Recommend capital expenditure projects to Senior Management for the annual business plan and manage the departmental budget.
• Ensure all departmental employees understand the company’s vision and action plan.
• Provide leadership, ensure policy compliance, conduct performance appraisals, and make recommendations based on results.
• Collaborate with the Quality Department to ensure packaged products meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement strategies.
• Address customer or public complaints, determine their nature, and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct Time and Motion studies to enhance efficiencies.
• Assist with the installation of packaging and plant equipment.
• Recommend re-engineering projects, participate in designing and implementing new projects, and test and commission new equipment.
• Develop and continually upgrade the Preventative Maintenance Program for all equipment.
• Produce weekly and monthly departmental reports, and additional reports as needed.
• Plan and schedule work to meet customer demands and execute maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and improve Preventative Maintenance Systems and Procedures.Manage manpower to meet operational needs while minimizing overtime.
• Collaborate with Management, customers, and stakeholders on engineering projects and products.
• Design, implement, and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems, and ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
• Use engineering software to perform tasks and coordinate manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and testing activities.
• Inspect installations and operations to ensure they meet design specifications and standards.
• Apply electrical theory to maintenance and engineering projects through research and technical analysis.
• Maintain electric power distribution lines, equipment, and stations.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Education and Qualification:

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
• A minimum of seven (7) years experience  in the maintenance of Electrical and Instrumentation systems
• Specialization in controls and power
• High voltage experience of at least five (5) years
