JOB SUMMARY

At ANSA Packaging, the Finance Manager plays a critical stewardship role in safeguarding financial integrity, strengthening reporting excellence, and enabling strategic decision‑making across the Manufacturing sector. This role leads the financial reporting function, ensuring that financial statements, forecasts, and analysis are accurate, compliant, and aligned with the needs of the Chief Financial Officer and broader leadership team.

The Finance Manager enhances governance through strong internal controls, robust financial models, reliable reporting systems, and disciplined month‑end close oversight.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Leadership & Reporting

  • Leads all internal and external financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong governance.
  • Applies deep knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and reporting standards to maintain reliable financial statements and forecasts.
  • Ensures quality control over transactions and reporting processes, safeguarding financial integrity.
  • Manages cohesive policies, controls, and governance practices across the finance function.

Financial Analysis, Modelling & Strategic Insight

  • Develops and maintains financial models that support forecasting, scenario analysis, and performance measurement.
  • Conducts detailed analysis of financial statements and management reports to extract insights and advise leadership.
  • Provides strategic financial guidance that supports planning, resource allocation, and business decision‑making.
  • Applies strong attention to detail to ensure thorough and accurate financial analysis.

Corporate Finance & Resource Stewardship

  • Supports management of the organization’s debt, equity, and liquidity to ensure financial health.
  • Advises on capital structure decisions and optimizes the allocation of financial resources to organizational priorities.

Audit, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Supports internal and external audits with accurate reconciliations and strong understanding of audit methodologies.
  • Ensures compliance with financial controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and compliant work practices aligned with organizational health and safety standards.

Systems, Processes & Digital Capability

  • Develops and maintains financial information systems to improve efficiency, data integrity, and reporting quality.
  • Uses platforms including Oracle Hyperion, SAP, and SAP BPC to enhance modelling and reporting processes.
  • Demonstrates digital literacy by leveraging technology to solve problems and streamline financial workflows.

Leadership, Communication & Collaboration

  • Communicates clearly and respectfully with all stakeholders, promoting strong dialogue and consensus.
  • Collaborates effectively across teams to achieve shared financial and business goals.
  • Demonstrates strong planning and organizing capabilities to meet reporting deadlines and strategic objectives.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • ACCA, CIMA, CMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualifications.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with local and international accounting standards is an asset.
  • Experience using computerized accounting systems.
  • Equivalent combinations of qualifications and experience will be considered.
