Job Summary:
The Van Sales Assistant is responsible for manually moving stock/merchandise and performing other unskilled general labour.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Receives oral instructions to determine work assignment.
- Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets.
- Move stock/merchandise from storage areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles by hand or using pallet jacks and
other equipment. - Sort merchandise before loading and unloading as required.
- Load and unload trucks/vans.
- Carry needed tools and supplies from storage, vans or trucks and return them after use.
- Perform other related duties as required by job function
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 3 CXC passes, which must include Mathematics and English Language
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar environment
- Must be the holder of a valid Heavy T Driver’s Permit.
- Must be computer literate
