JOB SUMMARY
The Security Control Operator is responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and company property. Key duties include monitoring CCTV, conducting patrols, maintaining accurate logs, and ensuring all vehicles and property are properly inspected and documented. The role also involves responding to emergencies, assisting in crisis management, and reporting incidents to the relevant departments. The Security Officer must demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and proactive vigilance, while supporting the company’s safety programs and objectives. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures compliance with Company Policies and Procedures by staff and visitors alike.
- Maintain accurate Station Diary and log books of all activity on tour of duty.
- Monitoring of the CCTV at the Security Department.
- Patrols compound with Patrol vehicle to prevent theft.
- Sorting and filing of Daily Log sheets after seen by Security Supervisor.
- Ensures the Contracted Security inspect doors/locks and inform the Security Department.
- Filing of daily packing slips and delivery notes.
- Responds to emergency calls from employees for assistance to control disorderly or combative individuals.
- Ensures that incoming and outgoing vehicles are searched by security to prevent theft of the company property.
- Ensure the contracted security check, records and report all company property leaving and returned on the compound.
- Receive/Record and report in writing to the HSE Manager and Security Supervisor incidents/accidents occurred on Bestcrete, ABS, ABEL, Construction Sector Head Office, BAL, TAP and CRTCL.
- Ensure all gate passes received have the authorized signature in accordance with the gate pass policy.
- Participate in the company’s Behaviour Based safety Program and ensure that at least entries are made per month.
- Display high degree of Teamwork, Initative, Professionalism, Accountability, and service orientation with a view to attaining the company’s objectives.
- Uses proactive approach to crisis management and maintains constant vigilance for situations requiring intervention.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a good knowledge of HSE Managements Systems and ISO Managements Systems.
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in the related field.
