Job Summary

We are seeking an Accounting Assistant for a full-time, on-site position located in Chaguanas. The Accounting Assistant will regularly assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing bookkeeping tasks, working with accounting software, and ensuring accurate financial records. The role also involves supporting finance operations, maintaining compliance with financial procedures, and collaborating with other teams to meet organisational goals.

Key Skills:

• Microsoft Excel at an intermediate or advanced level (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reconciliations)
• Experience preparing or supporting financial statements and month-end close processes with deadlines
• Currently pursuing or have you completed ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent qualification (minimum Level 2 ACCA)

Qualifications:

• Progress toward a professional accounting designation (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is an asset (Level 2 ACCA preferred)
• Proficiency in Accounting, Bookkeeping, and understanding of Financial Statements
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or multi-entity environment
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems – Microsoft Dynamics FP&O, preferably
• Strong foundation in Finance principles and practices
