JOB SUMMARY

The Accounting Assistant (AP) is responsible for effectively and efficiently ensures accurate accounting records and all credit balances, with respect to Accounts Payable are resolved.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reconciling and collecting confirmation letters for Group Creditors by 2^nd working day.
• Maintain vendor accounts
• Prepare ACH / Cheque payments for all local Suppliers once authorized by the respective managers.
• Prepare local payments via letters to bank and apply payment to vendor accounts, file all documents.
• Reconcile Supplier Statements monthly.
• Ensure all vendor payments are being made according to terms and conditions
• Assist in day-to-day operations of the Finance Unit as assigned
• Perform other related duties as required by the Accountant/Chief Financial Officer.
• Liaise with external contractors/suppliers as and when necessary.
• Compliance with Ansa Mcal Group Policies.
• Recording all RBL wire transfer letters for ABS.
• Reconciled balance in GRNI greater than $5000 older than one month for ABS, ACL, BAL and ABSGI.
• Manage and review vendor payments process for ACL, (Prepare Wire instructions (EXIM/AMBL/AML/RBL)
• Process invoices for all reimbursements/airline reservations for sector and other managers
• Assist in closure of all AP modules in all Entity, BAL, ACL, ABS and ABSGI

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Undergraduate Degree in Management Studies, Accounting and Finance or a related field.
• CAT certification or equivalent *or an equivalent combination of academic and work experience
• At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar function
• Computer literate with knowledge of accounting packages
• Knowledge of accounting and inventory Management and practices
• Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft AX
• Exposure to the Coatings Industry/Inventory Management would be an asset
