Job Summary

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to manage accounts receivable and payable, support month-end close activities, and deliver accurate financial reports. This role is ideal for someone with strong reconciliation skills, a solid grasp of accounting systems, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare month-end financial statements and journal entries.
• Reconcile accounts and assists with year-end audit preparations.
• Process biweekly corporate payables and payroll reporting.
• Generate product line income statements and aging reports.
• Present financial data to internal stakeholders.

Required Competencies:

• Financial Transactions: Record payments, reconcile accounts, and process payroll accurately.
• Accounting & Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, investigate anomalies and recommend improvements (GL, trial balance, A/R aging).
• Reconciliation & Analysis: Analyze data, identify trends, and communicate performance analysis results with stakeholders.
• Systems & Processes: Understand and support financial systems and tools.
• Planning & Organizing: Create work plans, manage timelines, and makes adjustments as needed.
• Communication: Listen actively, confirm understanding, and share feedback.
• Attention to Detail: Double-check work and verifies information.
• Achievement Orientation: Aim for high-quality results and suggest improvements.

Technical Skills:

• Intermediate proficiency in:
  • AFT Systems
  • Netsuite
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Google Drive
  • Payroll legislation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field.
• 2+ years experience.
• Having experience working in a medium to large-sized organization, which supports the conglomerate structure of our Parent company will be an asset.
